MADISON, N.J. (September 14, 2011) – The Ranger men's soccer team defeated cross-street rival Fairleigh Dickinson (1-4), 2-0 earlier this evening. After a scoreless first half Drew (5-0) scored two, second half goals to defeat the Devils for the 28th consecutive time.

In the 55th minute freshman Michael Pezzuti (Fairfield, N.J./West Essex Regional) ended the deadlock with his second goal of the season. The Rangers drew a corner which Philip Mabika (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) was able to serve a ball that Pezutti knocked in for the eventual gamewinner.

Mabika then added his first goal of the season in the 70th minute to put the Rangers up for good. Reigning Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Week, Rich Boland (North Kingston, R.I./Moses Brown), recorded his fourth-straight shutout turning away seven Devil shots.

The Rangers improve to 33-3-2 all-time against their Madison Avenue counterparts and are undefeated under Head Coach Lenny Armuth.

The Rangers look to continue their winning ways on Saturday when they travel to Delaware Valley College for a 2:00 p.m. bout with the Aggies.
