MADISON, N.J. (September 24, 2011) – Susquehanna (4-4, 1-0 Landmark) captured its first conference win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Drew (6-2, 0-1 Landmark) this afternoon at Ranger Stadium. A lone Crusader goal late in the first half stood as the Ranger offense was shut out for the second game in a row.
Crusader midfielder David Trank capitalized off of a Ranger turnover in the box and put home the game's lone goal with 5:02 remaining in the first half. The Drew offense fired 17 shots throughout the 90 minutes compared to just nine by Susquehanna.
Susquehanna goalkeeper Zach Zoller made five saves in net to earn the win. The game is only the second home conference loss by the Rangers since entering the Landmark in 2007. The Crusaders have now won the past two matchups dating back to the 2010 season finale.
The Rangers will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when they take on Berkeley College at 4:30 p.m in Ranger Stadium.
