Rangers Drop Two at Susquehanna

SELINSGROVE, Pa. (January 21, 2012) – In their final Landmark tri-meet of the season, the Rangers lost to both Susquehanna and Juniata at James W. Garrett Sports Complex this afternoon. The hometown Crusaders finished with meet-high 158 points while the Rangers fell to the Eagles, 81-32.

The opening race of the meet, the 200 medley relay, saw three finishes all within a second of each other. The quartet of Jess Harington (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield), Jasmine Prokscha (Washington, Conn./Kent), Alexa Morrissey (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fontbonne Hall Academy) and Mariel Schwinger (Los Angeles, Calif./Sherman Oaks) finished third with a season-best time of 2:01.62.

Later on in the meet, Harrington captured her second third place of the meet with a season best time of 1:00.76 in the 100 freestyle. Prokscha also turned in a season best time of 6:22.12 in the 500 freestyle.

Jackie King (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) had a superb individual meet posting a pair of lifetime bests. In the 50 freestyle she finished with time of 28.40 and in the 200 freestyle her time of 2:16.26 was the fastest of her career.

The Rangers will come back to F.M. Kirby Pool for a pair of swim meets this weekend. On Friday the Rangers will take on Mount St. Vincent  at 6:00 p.m. and finish their Landmark schedule with Scranton on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
