SCRANTON, Pa. (November 10, 2012) – The Marywood men's swim team (2-7, 1-0 Landmark) and women's team (2-5, 1-0 Landmark) each won their first Landmark Conference meet with wins over the Rangers this afternoon. The Drew men (1-2, 0-1 Landmark) fell 168-77 while the Ranger women (0-3, 0-1 Landmark) were defeated, 155-98.
The Drew women were posted four individual race wins, two coming from
Jess Harrington (Ridgefield, N.J./Ridgefield). The junior won both the 100 and the 50 backstroke. Her time of 1:04.57 in the 100 backstroke and 30.01 were both the fastest by any Ranger this season.

Jordan Bader (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) was the first swimmer to touch in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 12:09.38. Classmate
Mariel Schwinger (Los Angeles, Calif./Sherman Oaks) rounded out the Drew first place finishers by touching first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 58.85. She also turned in a second place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:06.22.
On the men's side, the only first place finish came from
Thomas DiGuglielmo (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) who posted the top time of 29.64 in the 50 breaststroke.
The Rangers will continue Landmark Conference competition on Saturday when they host Catholic University at 1:00 p.m. at F.M. Kirby Pool.
