Box Score
MADISON, N.J. (April 25, 2012) – The baseball edition of the Battle of Madison Avenue saw Fairleigh Dickinson (20-15) explode for seven runs in the sixth inning en route to a 15-0 win over Drew (19-16) this afternoon on Doc Young Field. The Devils racked up 19 hits and scored 12 runs in their last four at bats for their fourth-straight win over the Rangers.

Fairleigh Dickinson starting pitcher, Andrew Hille, kept the Ranger hitters guessing all afternoon. The freshman went six innings, scattering five hits and striking out seven batters to earn the win. Senior Ryan Fandel led the Devil offense going 4-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI in the contest. Both Brandan Adams and designated hitter, Johne Bowe drove in four runs to help the Devils to the lopsided victory.

The sixth inning saw 10 batters come to the plate for Fairleigh Dickinson. The Devils scored seven runs on seven hits including four doubles and triple in the sixth alone.
Earlier in the contest senior Steve Seminerio broke the FDU school record for hits with an infield hit in the third inning.

Freshman Michael Chiarella (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison) had his third-straight two-hit game and is currently riding a six-game hitting streak. He is batting .441 on the year in 34 at bats.

The Rangers will now turn their focus on the three-game series with Moravian beginning on Saturday. Drew needs two wins or a Scranton loss to Catholic to clinch their first ever Landmark Conference playoff berth.
