Box Score MAHWAH, N.J. (October 9, 2013) – Neither team was able to find the back of the net this afternoon as the Drew University men's soccer team and Ramapo (5-5-2) played to a 0-0 tie. It marked the second draw of the season for the Rangers, making their record 7-3-2.
A total of nine shots on goal were all the two teams could muster in 110 minutes of soccer. Drew goalkeeper
Michael Reyes (Delran, N.J./Delran) was credited with his fourth shutout of the season, making three saves. His counterpart, Brian Petrunik made a game-high six saves, registering his second shutout of the season.
The Rangers won the shots battle, taking 12 compared to seven by the Roadrunners. Drew also had the edge in corner kicks, attempting eight while Ramapo took just two.
Junior
Tommy Tolve (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) had both of his game-high, two shots denied by Petrunik. The Roadrunners, Dave Przybylo attempted five shots with two of them going on net.
The tie is the second in the last four meetings with Ramapo. Drew holds the advantage in the all-time series, 7-4-2.
The Rangers will return to Landmark Conference play on Saturday when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for a match with Moravian. Game time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
