The Rangers improve 7-5 on the season and 1-1 in the Landmark Conference. The Greyhounds move to 9-3 on the season and are also 1-1 in Landmark Conference play. The game one victory over the five-time Landmark Conference champions was the first by the Rangers since 1997. Coming into the game, Moravian was 10-0 against Drew since entering the Landmark Conference prior to the 2008 season.

Game 1
The Rangers got another stellar pitching effort from sophomore pitcher Laura D'Ornellas (Lanoka Harbor, N.J./Lacey Twp.) who pitched a complete game, allowing only two runs. The second-year right hander struck out two batters and improved to 3-1 on the season.

The Drew offense gave their starting pitcher the run support beginning in the bottom of the first inning. The Rangers sent seven batters to the plate in their first at bat and put the game's first run on the board on an RBI single by Jeramie Barletta (Madison, N.J./Madison). With the bases loaded, Casey Reggiani (Whippany, N.J./Whippany Park) earned a  walk to put the Rangers up 2-0.  Moravian starter Lisa Fegely pitched out of the bases loaded, one out jam to end the first inning threat.

After the Greyhounds pulled within one in the top of the fifth, the Rangers pushed their lead to 3-1 thanks to an RBI single by Reggiani in the fifth and two-RBI double by Lexie Forsell (West Windsor, N.J./West Windsor Plainsboro) in the bottom of the sixth.

D'Ornellas pitched herself out of trouble in the top of the seventh after walking two and surrendering an RBI single by her counterpart Fegley with two outs.

Game 2
After a first inning solo home run by Dior Geroge, the Rangers fought back and took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Forsell scored Jennifer Mateo (Union City, N.J./Union City) on a sacrifice fly and Barletta followed with an RBI single that scored D'Ornellas. Barletta was 3-for-7 with a double and two RBIs on the afternoon.

The Greyhounds chipped away scoring runs in their four of their final five at bats and took advantage of three Drew errors.

Trailing 6-2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Rangers rallied earning a pair of one-out walks. Mateo doubled to score the Rangers third run of the game. Two batters later Forsell doubled scoring Mateo and Antoinette Tovar (South El Monte, Calif./South El Monte) to pull the Rangers within a run. The two-out rally would end with Forsell stranded at first base.
Mateo was 3-for-7 with an RBI and Forsell knocked in five runs, racking up four hits on the afternoon.

The Rangers are scheduled to travel to William Paterson on Wednesday for a non-conference tilt at 3:00 p.m. in Wayne, N.J.
