Box Score MADISON, N.J. (March 28, 2013) – The St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn Bears improved to 10-1 on the season after a 12-1 victory over the Drew baseball team this afternoon on Doc Young field. The Rangers drop to 5-9 on the season and suffer the second-straight loss to the Bears dating back to last season.
The Bears scored in every inning but one, including three runs in the top of the ninth inning. SJC starting pitcher Paul Piccirillo held the Rangers scoreless over six innings and allowed only three hits to earn his third win of the year. The senior retired the first 11 batters before finally allowing in baserunner in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Five of the SJC starters put forth multiple hit efforts as the Bears scored 12 runs on 14 hits. Thomas McKenna went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored. Chris Cutrone also came across the plate three times and collected two hits for the visiting Bears.
The Rangers scored their only run of the afternoon on an RBI double by 
Rob Cortright (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Laguna Beach) that scored
 Neil Cashes (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank Regional) in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Freshman 
Nate Brown (Needham, Mass./Needham) threw the only scoreless inning of the afternoon for the Rangers sitting down all three batters he faced in the top of the seventh. He was one of six pitchers to take the ball in the non-conference tilt.
The Rangers will seek their first Landmark Conference victory tomorrow as they open up a three-game series with Merchant Marine at Doc Young field. The nine-inning game will start at 3:30 p.m.
