The Roadrunners, who came into the game batting .313 as a team, racked up 13 hits and took advantage of three Ranger errors.  The first three batters in the Ramapo lineup, comprised of Joe Venturino, John Capuano and Dave Jacob, went 8-for-14 with five runs scored and five RBIs.  Jacob was a triple short of the cycle and blasted his second home run of the season in the sixth inning.

Ramapo never trailed in the contest, scoring the game's first three runs. The Rangers got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second on a sacrifice fly by Al Krause (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) that scored Mike Klinger (Franklin Park, N.J/Rutgers Prep). The Rangers pulled within a run when Bodden scored on an error in the bottom of the third.

The game was put out of reach on the long ball by Jacob that cleared the left field fence, capping a three run sixth and made the score, 7-2.

Ramapo starter John Radich pitched seven innings, allowing only one earned run and struck out two. The junior earned his second victory of the spring.

The Rangers will welcome in another New Jersey Athletic Conference opponent, when William Paterson comes to Madison tomorrow. First pitch for the nine-inning, non-conference game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Doc Young Field.
