Rangers Overcome Six-Run Deficit to Defeat Lehman

Box Score MADISON, N.J. (April 10, 2013) – The Rangers scored the final 10 runs to defeat Lehman College (6-9) by the score of 11-7 at Doc Young Field today. With the victory, the Rangers improve to 7-12 on the season.

Anthony Feltre (South Brunswick, N.J./Metuchen), Al Krause (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) and Justin Mancini (Haskell, N.J./Lakeland Regional) each had two hits for the Rangers.

The Drew bullpen helped preserve the win, pitching five scoreless innings. In the top of the first inning, Lehman posted three runs en route to scoring the game's first five runs. Lehman tacked on a four more runs over its next two at bats.

The Rangers got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the third, when Corey Mulligan (Pearl River, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) earned a bases loaded walk. That would be all they could muster in the inning leaving the bags full.

Drew's offense came alive and scored in its next five turns at the plate. Trailing 7-4 going into the bottom of the sixth, Mancini pulled the Rangers within one on a two-RBI double down the left field line. He then scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Mulligan, tying the game at seven. Feltre put the Rangers up for good with a RBI single through the right side.
