JERSEY CITY, N.J. (May 15, 2013) – Three Drew University baseball players were voted onto the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association All-Rookie Team today. Freshmen
Bobby Miskura (Rutherford, N.J./Rutherford),
Anthony Feltre (South Brunswick, N.J./South Brunswick) and
Mike Klinger (Franklin Park, N.J./Rutgers Prep) all were selected to this year's NJCBA All-Rookie squad.
The three selections on this year's team are the most ever in one season and the first since the 2010 season.
Miskura impressed the state's coaches with wins Richard Stockton and William Paterson this season. His best outing came on the road on April 23
rd when he pitched a complete game and struck out 11 batters in a win over Staten Island. He finished the year with a record of 4-3, 29 strikeouts and a 4.34 ERA.
Feltre led the team with 39 games played and appeared in all but game for the Rangers in his first season. He batted .283 and was third on the team with 36 hits. He led the Landmark Conference in sacrifice hits with 12 and drove in 19 runs this spring. He had a 10-game hitting streak in the beginning of April and collected eight, multiple-hit games.
Klinger appeared in 33 games for the Rangers this season, making 31 starts. The two-sport standout was fifth on the team with a .291 batting average and third on the squad with 20 RBIs. He racked up eight, multiple-hit efforts including a 4-for-6 performance against Lehman College on April 2
