Box Score MADISON, N.J. (August 31, 2013) – The Drew field hockey team won its 20
th Fall Fest crown decisively, with a 10-1 victory over Swarthmore College (1-1) this afternoon. The Rangers win the 30
th annual tournament for the first time since 2009 and improve to 2-0 on the season.

Sophomore
Sam Barcia (Berlin, N.J./Eastern) continued her torrid scoring pace by adding four goals and an assist in the victory. The nine points tied a
school record for points in a game. The four goals fall one shy of the school mark and are the most since Kati Eggert scored four against Vassar on September 17, 2010. The first-year Ranger has six goals and an assist in her first two games.

Classmate
Kirby Clark (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee) had a career day scoring twice and assisting on Barcia's third goal of the game. The five points were the first of her career.

Bea Cannavale (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) scored her first two goals of the season while
Amanda Hearney (Shorham Wading-River, N.Y./Shoreham Wading-River) and
Brooke Gagliano (Freehold, N.J./Freehold Twp.) each added goal to round off the Rangers scoring.

The Rangers were dominant in all facets of the game. Drew held a 48-10 advantage in shots and did not allow a goal for the first 49 minutes of play.

Barcia sparked the Rangers offense early, netting the first three goals for the halftime hat trick. Clark put the Rangers up 5-0 on back-to-back scores midway through the first half. Gagliano put in her first goal of the season in the 30
th minute and Hearney gave the Rangers a 7-0 lead at the halftime horn with her first of the year.

Swarthmore's only goal of the game came from Ursula Monaghan in the 50
th minute off an assist by Aarti Rao. Cannavale capped the game off with two goals within two minutes of each other beginning in the 56
th minute.

Senior
CC Carlini (Amherst, N.H./Bishop Guertin) got the start in goal for the Rangers, playing the first 35 minutes. Sophomore
Sarah Stewart (Shavertown, Pa./Dallas) was credited with all three of the Rangers saves, playing the final 35 minutes.

Drew will have the week off before they compete in the Bryn Mawr College Tournament next weekend. They will square off against St. Mary's College (Md.) on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
