Box Score MADISON, N.J. (September 15, 2013) – The Drew University men's soccer team was dominant in a 3-0 win over Manhattanville (2-5) this afternoon at Ranger Stadium. The Rangers have now won five consecutive games and improve to 5-1 on the season.
The Drew defense completely stymied all offensive counters by Manhattanville, holding the Valiants to just four shots. Junior goalkeeper
Michael Reyes (Delran, N.J./Delran) picked up his fifth win of the season and earned second shutout of 2013.
Three different players found the back of the net for the Rangers, beginning with
Matthew Gragnano (Hazlet, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) in the 17
th minute. The senior forward came up with a steal inside the box and scored his second goal of the season to give the Rangers a 1-0 advantage.
Just before the halftime horn, the Rangers made the score, 2-0 when
John Nogiewich (Pine Beach, N.J./Toms River South) scored for the third time in the last four games. Freshman
Sebastien Etta Ashu (Newark, N.J./Bard) was credited with his first collegiate point after tipping the ball over to Nogiewich who had a wide open net.

Joe Sollod (Ringoes, N.J./Hunterdon Central) was the beneficiary of a dropped save by Manhattville goalie, Steve Singson in the 70th minute to cap the Rangers scoring.
Kevin Baroz (Staten Island, N.Y./St. Peter's Boys) had his long shot knocked down by Singson and Sollod cleaned up the rebound for his second goal in as many games.
Drew outshot Manhattanville, 30-4 on the afternoon and attempted a season-high 16 corner kicks. The Valiants first shot didn't come until the second half of play. Singson made a game-high seven saves for Manhattanville.
Today was the first game of a three-game homestand for the Rangers. On Wednesday, Drew will welcome in a 4-1 Muhlenberg team to Ranger Stadium. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
