MADISON, N.J. (September 25, 2013) – The Eastern University Eagles (7-1) ended a six-game, men's soccer win streak this evening with a 2-1 victory at Ranger Stadium. The loss is just the second of the year, dropping the Rangers to 6-2 on the season.
The Rangers took the initial lead in the contest when junior

th of his career.
Eastern had a few chances denied by goalkeeper
Michael Reyes (Delran, N.J./Delran) and the Drew defense. Reyes made an incredible save diving to his right on a shot in the 11
th minute by the Eagles, Joe Centeno.
It wasn't long before Eastern started cashing on in their opportunities. The Eagles knotted the game up at one in the 34
th minute with JD Saracco scored his first of two goals on the night. Teammate Eric Giovagnoli had his shot saved but the rebound bounced high to the head of Saracco who was able to clear Reyes and the Ranger defense, just nestling under the crossbar.

The second half belonged to Eastern on both sides of the ball. The Eagles were able to outshoot the Rangers 9-2 and held a slight, 3-2 advantage in corner kicks. Saracco and Giovagnoli worked a sharp, give-and-go play down the right sideline for the game winner. Giovagnoli centered a pass that Saracco was able to fire in the low left corner of the goal.
Eastern had a chance to go up two but had a penalty kick tip off the hands of Reyes and ring off the left post. Reyes finished the night with five saves while his counterpart Joe Centeno made three stops.
The Rangers will open up Landmark Conference play on Saturday when they travel to the Nation's Capital to take on Catholic. The two teams have gone to overtime four of the last six matchups. The game will be part of a women's/men's doubleheader, with the men slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
