Box Score 2 Madison, N.J. (March 23, 2014) – The Drew University baseball team (5-6) split a non-conference doubleheader this afternoon with Franklin & Marshall (8-8) at Doc Young Field. The Rangers won game one 4-3 in eight innings and dropped game two 8-2.

Matthew Hunter (Forest Hills, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) picked up his second win of the season for the Rangers. Hunter pitched two innings in relief in game one holding the Diplomat offense hitless and striking out one batter. Freshman
Ryan Fitzpatrick (Cedar Grove, N.J./Cedar Grove) started game one going six innings, surrendering six hits earning three runs and struck out three Diplomat batters. Sophomore right hander
Nate Brown (Needham, Mass./Needham) started game two for Drew. Brown went four innings allowed five runs on eight hits and struck out two batters in the loss.
The Rangers return to the diamond on Tuesday March 25 at 3:30 p.m. as they play host to Centenary at Doc Young Field.
