MADISON, N.J. (April 7, 2015) – The Drew University baseball team succumbed to a no-hitter as Rutgers-Newark rolled to a 14-0 non-conference victory on Tuesday afternoon at Doc Young field.
Â
Scarlet Raider (8-14) starter Shane Nolan was perfect through eight innings before sophomore
Tommy Broyles, in a pinch-hitting appearance, laced a fastball that the shortstop couldn't handle. Nolan would induce a 4-6-3 double play and a pop up to complete his day. Nolan faced the minimum amount of batters on the cloudy Tuesday, walking none and striking out five.

The Rangers (7-15) return to action in fewer than 24 hours to take on The Stevens Institute of Technology in non-conference play on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. on Doc Young Field.
