NEWBURGH, N.Y. (Sept. 23, 2015) – The Drew University women's soccer team fought to a scoreless draw on the road Wednesday evening at Mount St. Mary College in non-conference action.
The Rangers' record moves to 3-4-1 on the season, while the Knights shift to 4-3-1 after 110 minutes of scoreless soccer on Wednesday.

Thalia Santacruz played the majority of the contest in the Drew defense and contributed to the shutout of the Knights.

Emma Campbell paced the Rangers' offense with four shots, two of which were on goal and forced saves by the Knights' goalkeeper. Senior midfielder
Shannon Slowey took Drew's only other shot in the draw.
The Knights outshot the Rangers 12-5 in the contest, but all nine of their shots on goal were stopped by the Blue & Green goalkeeping duo of senior
Sara Nash and junior
Andee Higgins. Higgins started the game and blanked Mount St. Mary with five saves in the first half, while Nash completed the clean sheet with four saves in the second half and both overtime periods. Wednesday marked the Rangers' third shutout of the year.
While Drew was shut out of the shot column in overtime, Higgins took care of business with a save in the 108
th minute to preserve the tie on the road.
Drew returns home on Saturday, Sept. 26 for its 2015 Landmark Conference opener against Juniata College at 4:00 p.m. at Ranger Stadium.
