MADISON, NJ. (Oct. 15, 2016) - Following a closely-contested scoreless first half, the Susquehanna University River Hawks bolstering offense proved to be too much for the Drew University women's soccer team with a final score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon in Landmark Conference play.
By The Numbers: The Rangers drop to 5-7-1 on the year with a 1-3 Landmark record, while the River Hawks improve to 11-3 on the year with a 4-1 conference mark.
Top Performers: Senior goalkeeper Ryan Jackson faced endless offensive pressure, but was able to save 5-of-7 shots on goal for the Rangers.
Turning Point: The Rangers were able to hold off Susquehanna for the entirety of the first half but a River Hawk goal in the 57th minute sent Drew down 1-0, followed by a goal in the 81st minute to bring the game to a score of 2-0.
Stat Sheet: The Rangers finished with three total shots, one of them on goal. The River Hawks recorded seven shots on goal with 15 shots in total. Susquehanna also reeled in seven corner kicks on the day. There was not an offside whistle the entire game.
