MADISON, N.J. (Oct. 5, 2016) — The Drew University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest with William Paterson University, 2-0, as the sun set on Ranger Stadium on Wednesday evening.
By the Numbers: With the setback, Drew's home record falls to 2-3-1. The Rangers overall record has also dipped below .500 and is now 4-5-1. On the other end, the Pioneers improved to 9-2-1 and their away record to 4-1-1.
Turning Point: With three minutes to go in the first half, the Pioneers top scorer played a through ball into the box and buried the first goal of the game.
Other Highlights: William Paterson built upon its lead with 38 minutes to go in the game. The forwards used a one-time cross off a through ball to meet a striker who shot it off the post. The score extended the Pioneer lead to 2-0.
