MADISON, N.J. (April 23, 2016) – The Drew University men's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day in style, getting three goals from the Class of 2016 in an 11-4 victory over Moravian College (10-5) on Saturday afternoon in Ranger Stadium.

Senior Stars: Playing in their final games on Drew's campus, senior attacker Ben Ludeman scored a pair of goals – the first two goals of the game – and senior captain Steven Cola added a man-up tally in the third period as the Rangers (2-11) coasted to a victory in their home turf finale.

Top Performers: Freshman attacker Ryan D'Alessandro scored four goals in the win to increase his season total to 14, one shy of Cola's team lead of 15 goals this spring. Junior defender Michael Lloyd was all over the turf on Saturday, scoring a goal and assisting on another, while picking up seven ground balls and causing three turnovers. Freshman attacker Thomas Ensmenger also had a goal and an assist to go with five groundballs.

Junior goalkeeper Teddy Sweeney made 10 saves between the pipes to pick up the victory.

Turning Point: Fresh off being honored during pregame with his parents on the field, Ludeman carried the energy onto the field. The senior scored his 17th and 18th goals of his career within the game's opening 12 minutes to give Drew the 2-1 lead. Moravian only came within two on a man-up goal with 5:18 to play in the second, but D'Alessandro scored twice during a five-goal run spanning halftime to put Drew ahead comfortably 9-2 with 10:46 to go in the game.

Other Highlights: Freshman attacker Thomas Garner scored his fourth goal of the season, giving the Rangers a 5-2 lead in the second. Junior captain Rich Shahpazian notched the second goal of his 2016 season with an unassisted blast in the fourth to hand his squad the 11-3 advantage.

Up Next: Drew makes a stop at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, who is ranked No. 17 in NCAA Division III, on Tuesday, April 26 at 6:00 p.m. before the season finale at Goucher College on Saturday, April 30 at 1:00 p.m.
