Erin Connors ended an 88-minute stalemate with a perfectly placed shot to hand the Drew University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Delaware Valley University on Saturday afternoon at Ranger Stadium.
By the Numbers: The Rangers move to 3-2-1 on the year and 1-1-1 at home, while the Rams drop to 2-3-1 overall with their first away loss of the year (2-1).
Top Performers: Senior goalkeeper
Ryan Jackson made three saves, including a sprawling stop in the 72
nd minute to keep the game scoreless. The shutout is the second of both her season and career.
Connors paced the Drew offense with nine shots and four on target. Her late game-winner gives her a tie for the team lead with three markers in 2016.
Turning Point: With the scoreless contest creeping toward overtime, Connors prevented playing extra time with a one-time left-footer off a baseline feed from senior
