Rangers Suffer 2-0 Loss at Susquehanna

SELINGSROVE, Pa. -  On Saturday afternoon, the Drew University women's soccer team traveled to Susquehanna for a Landmark Conference matchup.  The contest was scoreless for 85 minutes, but a pair of late goals gave the River Hawks (12-2-1, 4-1-0 Landmark) a 2-0 victory over the Rangers (6-8-0, 1-4-0 Landmark) at Sassafras Field.

Susquehanna had a number of scoring chances in the first half, but Madison Dudziec (Stanhope, N.J.) made four saves to keep the River Hawks off the board.  The Rangers nearly broke through in the 56th minute when Caroline Kelly's (Livingston, N.J.) attempt was saved by Susquehanna goalkeeper Jennifer Thorsheim.

After Thorsheim saved Alex Gilgorri's (Mount Plains, N.J.) shot in the 85th minute, the River Hawks went on the counterattack.  Grayclynn Juckes connected with Alyssa Bolger, who sild a shot from 10 yards out over Dudziec's head to give Susquehanna a 1-0 lead.  The River Hawks then added an insurance tally in the final minute, as Juckes put one into the top left corner off an assist from Bolger.

Dudziec (4-8-0) and Thorsheim (3-1-0) both recorded six saves in the contest.  Bolger and Juckes, meanwhile, each tallied a goal and an assist for Susquehanna.

The Rangers continue their three-game road trip on Wednesday night, when they visit Rutgers-Newark (8-7-0) at 7:30 p.m.
