#24 Drew Now 12-0-1 After 3-0 Win Over Juniata

MADISON, N.J. -  On Saturday afternoon at Ranger Stadium, the 24th-ranked Drew University men's soccer team extended its winning streak to nine straight with a 3-0 victory over Juniata.  Cole Bosch (Fair Lawn, N.J.), Max Correa (Belleville, N.J.) and Aidan Cserhat (Taos, N.M.) scored for the Rangers (12-0-1, 4-0-0 Landmark), who outshot the Eagles (1-8-3, 0-3-1 Landmark) 39-3 in the contest.

The Rangers controlled the game from the opening whistle and appeared to get on the board early, but the goal was waived off due to offside.  Drew finally broke through in the 40th minute, when Bosch chased down a loose ball and put it into the open net for a 1-0 lead.  The Rangers doubled that advantage early in the second half.  Drew was awarded a free kick from just outside the box, which Correa perfectly placed around the wall.

"It was me and Eddie (Martinez) looking at the goal, and I decided I'd take it," Correa said.  "The goalie was cheating, so I caught him far post.  I didn't want to hit it over, so I just hit it on the ground and it curved around the wall."

In the 68th minute, the Rangers earned another free kick from roughly the same spot.  This time Cserhat took it, and he powered a shot into the upper right corner for his 16th goal of the year.  Cserhat has now scored in nine consecutive games.

Jason Adamo (Roxbury, N.J.) (12-0-1) was credited with his third straight shutout, as the Drew defense held the Eagles without a shot on goal and surrendered just one corner kick.  Logan Tackett (1-3-0) tallied 10 saves for Juniata.

Drew concludes its three-game homestand on Tuesday night, when Haverford (7-2-3) visits Ranger Stadium at 7:30 p.m.  The Bullets are currently seventh in the United Soccer Coaches Mid-Atlantic regional poll.
