CENTER VALLEY, Pa. –
The Drew University men's basketball team (8-4) clinched the Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament title with a 94-76 victory over host DeSales (9-2) at Billera Hall on Saturday afternoon.  Riley Collins (Lacey, N.J.) was named Tournament MVP after tallying 21 points and four steals.

Nate Aldrich (Franklinville, N.J.) and Yonathan Napoleon (Los Angeles, Calif.) joined Collins on the all-tournament team.  Aldrich had a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Napoleon recorded 16 points and eight assists in the victory.  Darius Reiter (Littleton, Colo.) contributed 11 points, and Dan Roibal (Middletown, N.J.) just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine boards.  Sky Harris (Edison, N.J.), meanwhile, tallied eight points off the bench.  In addition, Malachi Walker (Fords, N.J.) contributed three blocks.  The Rangers went 37-for-67 (55.2 percent) from the field and outrebounded the Bulldogs 50-34.  Drew shot 47.6 percent (10-of-21) from both three-point land and the free throw line.

Drew stormed out of the gate, opening up a 10-3 lead not even three minutes into the game.  After a Harris trey made it 26-6 midway through the first half, DeSales went on an 18-11 run to trim its deficit to 13 points, 37-24.  However, the Rangers ended the period by scoring nine of the final 13 points and took a 46-28 advantage into the locker room.

DeSales trimmed its deficit to 13 points, 55-42, early in the second half, but Drew responded with a 12-4 spurt to extend its cushion to 67-46 with 14:08 remaining.  The Bulldogs rallied within 11 at 75-64 before Aldrich sank a layup on the other end to spark a 19-10 rally that put the Rangers up 94-74 with 1:17 left.  The final margin was 18 points, as Drew won for the sixth time in its last seven outings, 94-76.

Tracey Simsick posted a game-high 23 points for DeSales.  Luke Connaghan added 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists, while Kweku Dawson-Amoah finished with 11 points and six boards.  The Bulldogs shot 47.6 percent (30-of-63) from the floor, 33.3 percent (7-of-21) from long range, and 50 percent (9-of-18) at the charity stripe.

This was Drew's final non-conference game of the season.  The Rangers (1-0 Landmark) resume their Landmark Conference schedule next Saturday with a 2 p.m. matchup at Goucher (0-10, 0-1 Landmark).
