MADISON, N.J.-  Alex Gilgorri
(Mount Plains, N.J.) scored 2:37 into overtime to give the Drew University women's soccer team (3-2-0) a 2-1 win over Ramapo (2-3-0) in the final game of the Drew Fall Festival at Ranger Stadium on Sunday.  She also assisted on the Rangers' first goal, as Drew erased a 1-0 deficit in the victory.

Drew controlled play throughout the overtime period, earning an early corner kick before Erin Connors (Fanwood, N.J.) fired a shot just wide.  The Rangers scored the game-winner less than 90 seconds later, when a streaking Leah Dentale (Northport, N.Y.) found Gilgorri on the edge of the 18-yard box.  She turned and fired past Ramapo goalkeeper Elizabeth Harvell for her team-leading third goal of the season, as Drew notched its first come-from-behind victory of the year.

"It was overtime, so we were putting a lot of pressure immediately," Gilgorri said about the game-winner.  "Leah got the ball down the line on the right side and she slowed down her run.  She saw me at the top of the 18 (yard box), and I didn't have any pressure, so I just took my touch in front of me and made good contact with the ball.  It was a really nice way to end the game and get the good overtime win."

Ramapo took a 1-0 lead when Amber Hermanns won a one-on-one battle with Drew goalkeeper Brielle Castanheira (Roxbury, N.J.) in the 64th minute, but the Rangers countered just over four minutes later.  Gilgorri controlled a long pass into the goal area and flicked it ahead to Sarah Racine (Denville, N.J.), who caught Harvell out of position and found the back of the net, leveling the contest at 1-1.

"I felt like if we just continued to execute our game plan, we'd have success," Head Coach Christa Racine said.  "We had them back on their heels a lot.  I think that we had a lot more opportunities, dangerous opportunities, to put the ball away than they did."

The Rangers outshot the Roadrunners 18-4 and had an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.  Madison Dudziec (Stanhope, N.J.) started in goal, while Castanheira (2-0-0) played the second half and overtime to earn the win.  She made one save.  Harvell (2-3-0), meanwhile, recorded five saves for Ramapo.

After playing three straight home games, Drew hits the road for its next two.  The Rangers visit Old Westbury (0-2-0) at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
