MADISON, N.J. -  Aidan Cserhat
(Taos, N.M.) scored two goals, including the game-winner in the 83rd minute, to lift the Drew University men's soccer team (6-0-1) to a 2-1 victory over Manhattanville (2-4-0) at Ranger Stadium on Saturday afternoon.  With the win, the Rangers moved to 6-0-1 for the second time in three seasons.

Cserhat got the Rangers on the board in the eighth minute when he took a feed from Max Correa (Belleville, N.J.) and turned around for a one-timer that beat Manhattanville goalkeeper Tim Carsting.  Drew outshot Manhattanville 10-5 in the opening half, but allowed an own goal in the 38th minute, sending the contest into halftime even at 1-1.

With the game still knotted at 1-1 in the 80th minute, the Valiants peppered Drew's defensive with four shots in quick succession.  However, two blocks and two spectacular saves by goalkeeper Jason Adamo (Roxbury, N.J.) kept the contest deadlocked.  After Adamo made a save to stop the flurry in the 83rd minute, the Rangers went on the counterattack.  Correa got free up field and lifted one to Cserhat, who headed it into the back of the net for a 2-1 Drew lead.

"I think it marks our composure," Cserhat said.  "We got peppered with a couple of shots, but for us to counterattack, be composed and finish it shows that we were here to play."

Manhattanville had one last opportunity with a corner kick in the 88th minute, but the Valiants were unable to get a shot off.

Drew outshot Manhattanville 22-16 in the contest, and Adamo (6-0-1) tallied five saves.  Cserhat's two goals increased his team-leading total to nine for the season, while Correa was credited with the assist on both scores.  Carsting (1-3-0) made seven saves for the Valiants.

The Rangers have one game remaining before the start of conference play.  Drew visits the College of New Jersey (4-3-0) at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
