Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Rangers Fall at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -  On Saturday afternoon, the Drew University women's soccer team traveled to Moravian for its first Landmark Conference road game of the season.  The Rangers (5-5-0, 0-2-0 Landmark) were unable to come away with a victory, however, as the Greyhounds (7-2-1, 1-1-0 Landmark) notched a 3-0 triumph at John Makuvek Field.

After Alex Gilgorri (Mount Plains, N.J.) hit the post in the 19th minute, Leah Dentale (Northport, N.Y.) had a shot saved in the 25th minute.  Moravian then opened the scoring in the 27th minute when Oonagh Breen put a free kick into the left corner.  The Greyhounds then increased their advantage to 2-0 on Emily Crowley's goal early in the second half.

The Rangers had several solid chances to cut into the Greyhounds' lead, but Moravian goalkeeper Jessica Lawton kept Drew off the board with six second-half saves.  Breen then netted her second tally of the game in the 73rd minute to put Moravian up 3-0.

Dentale ended the game with six shots, four of which went on goal, as Drew outshot Moravian 15-12, including an 11-7 edge in the second half.  Madison Dudziec (Stanhope, N.J.) (3-5-0), meanwhile, recorded three saves.  Jamie Daly (4-1-1) played the first half in goal for Moravian and earned the win, and Breen scored two of the Greyhounds' goals.

Drew returns to action on Wednesday night with a 7 p.m. tilt against William Paterson (6-4-0).
