HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Drew University men's soccer team lost a close 3-2 decision at Haverford College in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon.
How it Happened: The Rangers (8-4) struck for the opening goal when junior
Aidan Cserhat rebounded in his own missed shot in the 25th minute for his team-leading 10th goal of the season. However, the Fords (6-4) answered with a 3-0 run that spanned both halves, striking twice in the first half before netting a decisive third goal in the 55th minute. Sophomore
Nate Race converted a header off a Cserhat assist in the 58th minute to make it a one-goal game, but the Rangers were held to a pair of shots the rest of the way.
Key Moments: Drew threatened early and often, placing seven shots on goal in the opening half. But that's when Haverford keeper Michael Iacono made six saves. Race took a potential game-tying shot in the 83rd minute but had it saved by Iacono.
