MADISON, N.J. - Drew shut out FDU-Florham in the first half, but the host Devils scored three goals in the second half to hand the Rangers a 3-0 setback in non-conference women's soccer action Tuesday evening.
How it Happened: FDU (10-5-2) outshot the Rangers 10-2 in the opening half, but Drew goalie
Madison Dudziec made a pair of saves to keep the Devils at bay. However, Drew's cross-town rivals broke through four minutes into the second period, then added a pair of insurance tallies midway through the stanza. FDU fired off 12 more shots in the second half, when Dudziec turned aside five more shots to finish with seven saves. The Rangers attempted eight second-period shots, but that's when Devil keeper Ashley Paulino made all of her five saves.
Stat Sheet: The Devils finished with a 22-10 shot advantage while Drew held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks. FDU was whistled for one more foul (10-9) than the Rangers. Junior
Sarah Burcaw and sophomore
Leah Dentale each attempted a pair of shots on goal for the Blue and Green.
Next Up: Drew plays its regular-season finale on Saturday, when it hosts Susquehanna University at 4 p.m. on Senior Day in a Landmark Conference tilt.
