ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Elizabethtown College snapped open a scoreless tie in the 82nd minute and the host Blue Jays held on to edge the Rangers 1-0 in a Landmark Conference (LC) men's soccer contest and a rematch of last year's LC championship game. The loss ended a five-game winning streak and a 10-game Landmark Conference regular-season winning streak for Drew (8-3, 2-1 LC).
 
How it Happened: Garrett Winchilla scored the game's loan for Elizabethtown (3-4-3, 2-0-1 LC) striking from just inside the 18 on a shot that deflected off the keeper's left glove and into the right corner of the net. Drew was held without a shot the rest of the way.
 
Key Moments: The Blue Jays held a 10-4 shot advantage in the first half, but the Rangers kept the hosts off the scoreboard thanks to a pair of saves from junior Jason Adamo and a clear from classmate Tyler Kwaak at the right post on a ball that was headed for the net. Senior Anthony McMyne also helped keep the score deadlocked when he booted away another shot on goal from six yards out in the 59th minute. Drew put four shots on frame – including two from sophomore midfielder Nate Race – but all four were stopped by Etown keeper Brian Gately.
 
Stats Sheet: Elizabethtown finished with a 16-7 shot advantage while Drew held a 7-6 edge in corner kicks. The Blue Jays committed 13 fouls while the Rangers were whistled eight times.
