MADISON, N.J. –
After having its last two games postponed by winter weather, it's only fitting that when the Drew University men's lacrosse team finally took the field for the first time in nine days on Wednesday night, it was snowing.  The snow continued throughout the Rangers' contest against Muhlenberg, but the teams were able to complete the game without interruption, as the Mules (6-0) earned an 8-4 victory over Drew (1-4) at Ranger Stadium.

Drew got on the board first when Devin Lyons (Hackettstown, N.J.) put in an unassisted tally less than two minutes into the game, but Muhlenberg scored five straight times to end the quarter.  The Mules increased their advantage to 7-1 at halftime and held an 8-1 cushion after three quarters.  Joe Palmieri (Guilford, Conn.) snapped the Rangers' drought with 5:52 left in the contest, then Seamus O'Connor (Portsmouth, R.I.) recorded a pair of late goals, including one with Drew a man up, to make the final margin 8-4 in favor of the Mules.

Greg Swenson (East Lyme, Conn.) had a game-high eight ground balls for the Rangers.  In addition to stopping 13 Muhlenberg shots, Nate Sanders (Annapolis, Md.) (1-4) picked up five ground balls.

For the Mules, Ethan Grossman tallied three goals and an assist to go along with three ground balls.  Frankie Feaster collected five ground balls and Michael Fodi added four ground balls.  Goalkeeper Garrrett Pope (6-0), meanwhile, recorded 11 saves.

The Rangers are back at home on Saturday, when they welcome Swarthmore (4-1) to Ranger Stadium at 1 p.m.  It will be the start of a Drew lacrosse doubleheader, as the women's team takes on Stockton following the men's game at 4 p.m.
