MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University men's swimming & diving team posted one of its biggest victories in recent memory, defeating three-time defending Landmark Conference champion Catholic University 172-127 Saturday afternoon in F.M. Kirby Pool.

Freshman Magnus Loeffler broke his second school record in as many meets to open his career as the Rangers earned their first-ever victory over the Cardinals.

Drew won 12 of 16 events, including a sweep from Loeffler in the diving events. He won the 3-meter diving (six dives) with a score of 220.28 to surpass the former Drew record of 195.65 held by teammate Angelo Angione. Loeffler also just missed his own school record in the 1-meter diving, posting a score of 290.85 after opening his career with a school record of 291.20 back on Oct. 11.

Senior Michael Ma was a triple-winner for the Rangers, capturing the 100-breaststroke (1:02.00), the 200-backstroke (2:03.70), and the 200-IM (2:01.33). Junior Alexandre Sannibale added a pair of victories, winning the 200-butterfly (2:02.28) and the 500-freestyle (5:00.00).
