WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Drew University women's soccer team was handed a 4-0 setback at Catholic University in a Landmark Conference (LC) match Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals (5-5-2, 1-1 LC) received all the scoring they would need with a 31st-minute goal and led 1-0 at halftime. Catholic pulled away with three goals early in the second half.
Freshman
Angela Accetturo made a season-high nine saves in goal for the Rangers (5-5, 1-1 LC). Offensively, junior
Sarah Racine fired off eight shots, including three that were on goal.
Drew resumes its schedule on Wednesday, when it visits Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in a non-conference tilt.
