SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Junior
Nate Sanders turned aside 16 shots but the Drew University men's lacrosse team suffered an 11-2 loss at Swarthmore College in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.
Highlights
• Defense dominated the first 10 minutes of the game before Drew senior
J.T. Pojero broke the standstill. He struck with 5:00 remaining in the opening quarter off a feed from senior
Thomas Ensmenger.
• The Garnet ran off the final three goals of the quarter to assume a 3-1 lead, but junior
Kevin Goettlich drew the Rangers to within one on an unassisted tally with 10:47 left in the first half. Swarthmore would end the period on another 3-0 run to assume a 6-2 halftime lead.
• The hosts would add three more goals in the third quarter and two in the fourth to set the final score.
Top Performers
• Facing 47 shots, Sanders posted his fifth game this season of making at least 16 saves. He also scooped six ground balls.
• Sophomore defender
Jonny Bronander picked up five ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.

Swarthmore finished with advantages in shots (47-18) and ground balls (34-27). The Rangers were called for the game's only penalty - a 30-second pushing violation.
