MADISON, N.J. – Moravian College defeated the Drew University men's lacrosse team by a final of 16-2 in a Landmark Conference (LC) match-up Saturday afternoon in Ranger Stadium.
Making their final home appearance, Drew's five seniors –
Ryan Connors,
Thomas Ensmenger,
Thomas Garner,
Brendan Hamm, and
J.T. Pojero – were honored in a brief ceremony prior to the start of the game.
Facing 43 shots, junior
Nate Sanders made 15 saves for the Rangers while Garner and junior
Kyle MacDonnell scored one goal apiece. Sophomore
Miles Savage finished 13-for-20 on face-offs while picking up eight ground balls.
Connor Hull netted four goals for Moravian (8-6, 2-3 LC), which broke the game open with an 8-0 run spanning the first three quarters, while Mark Laratta notched three goals and three assists. Cade Siddron contributed two goals and four assists for the Greyhounds.
Moravian finished with advantages in shots (43-33) and ground balls (34-27) while going 4-for-5 on extra-man opportunities.
The Rangers (1-14, 0-5 LC) close out the season next Saturday, when they visit Goucher College at 1 p.m. in a Landmark Conference tilt.
