MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University men's soccer team earned a convincing 3-1 victory over Centenary University in the first round of the Drew Fall Festival Friday afternoon at a sweltering Ranger Stadium. The match was also Drew's home and season opener.

After the Cyclones scored the game's opening goal on a penalty kick in the 16th minute, but the Rangers won going away, scoring three unanswered goals. Senior
Nick Caicedo scored his first collegiate goal in the 33rd minute, taking a long cross from freshman
Nathan Han and burying a shot from right side to pull his team even at the half.

Nate Race gave the Rangers the lead for good when he struck in the 56th minute, finishing off a cross from senior
Aidan Cserhat, who set the final score with rip on a free kick in the 65th minute.
The Rangers dominated possession, outshooting the Cyclones 23-2. Paul LiTrenta made 11 saves for Centenary while senior
Jason Adamo did not need to record a save to pick up the win for Drew.
The Blue and Green will now face SUNY New Paltz, a 1-0 winner over Stockton University in the other match, in the tournament championship game on Saturday at 1 p.m. The championship was originally scheduled to be played at 3:30 but was moved due to a scheduling conflict for New Paltz.
