MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University swimming & diving teams celebrated Senior Day in style, winning every event to earn a sweep over visiting Goucher College on Saturday at Kirby Pool.
Competing in their final dual meet of the season, the women's team (3-4) won by a score of 153-38 while the men's squad (5-1) captured a 149-43 decision.
Drew's 13 seniors were honored in a ceremony before competing in the final home meet of their careers.
A trio of Rangers led the women's team with two individual victories each. Sophomore
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds won both the 200-freestyle (2:04.93) and the 200-IM (2:18.00) while classmate
Abby Shapiro prevailed in both the 1,000-freestyle (11:39.17) and the 200-backstroke (2:22.76). In addition, senior
Mal Vishwanath touched first in both the 100-breastroke (1:12.55) and the 100-butterfly (1:03.05).
Earning one individual victory apiece were freshman
Alex Edwing (100-backstroke, 1:02.76), sophomore
Sydney Everhart (50-freestyle, 27.48), freshman
Grace Aboussleman (100-freestyle, 58.03), and freshman
Katie Cashin (500-freestyle, 5:33.53).
In the relays, senior
Stephanie Cushman, senior
Kate Circus, Everhart, and Garcia Hynds won the 200-medley in 2:00.49 while Vishwanath, senior
Katie Jefferson, Cushman, and senior
Hailey Williams captured the 200-freestyle in 1:46.84.
On the men's side, freshman
Jeffrey Crouse led the way with a triple-victory performance, winning the 200-freestyle (1:49.33), the 100-freestyle (50.14), and the 200-IM (2:08.53).
Freshman
Henry Van Note also captured multiple victories, winning both the 1,000-freestyle (10:36.57) and the 500-freestyle (5:01.69).
Picking up additional individual wins were sophomore
Josh Roberts in the 100-backstroke (58.24), sophomore
Jake Zajdzinski in the 100-breaststroke (1:04.44), freshman
Harrison Neal in the 50-freestyle (22.66), and junior
Matheus Macena in the 100-butterfly (54.95).

The Rangers are off until Feb. 14-16, when they compete in the Landmark Conference Championships in Germantown, Md.
