Kyle MacDonnell and freshman
Craig Wilkie combined for seven goals, but the Drew University men's lacrosse team lost 20-8 at Maritime on Wednesday evening in a non-conference outing.
MacDonnell posted four tallies for the Rangers (1-2) and has now scored 10 goals over his last two games. Wilkie contributed three goals while junior
Miles Savage won 17-of-30 face-offs and scooped 12 ground balls.

Matt DeMaeo (seven goals, three assists) and Mike Leake (five goals, five assists) led Maritime with 10 points apiece.
The Privateers (1-1) never trailed after scoring the first two goals. Tallies from MacDonnell and Wilkie pulled the Rangers to within two 3-1 and 4-2, but Maritime responded with a 6-0 run to open up an eight-goal lead with 5:21 left in the second quarter. The hosts led 10-2 at the half.
Wilkie and MacDonnell struck for back-to-back goals to open the second half, but Maritime answered again, this time with a 4-0 run that pushed its lead to 14-4 with 3:22 remaining in the third quarter. Savage scored off the ensuing face-off before the Privateers scored the final goal in the period to go up 15-5 heading into the final stanza.
MacDonnell added his final two goals in the fourth quarter while Wilkie notched his final tally in the period.
The Rangers return to action next Wednesday, when they visit Centenary next Wednesday at 4 p.m.
