HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Drew University women's swimming & diving team won 11 of 14 events, cruising to a 164-95 victory over Stevens University on Friday evening.
With the win, the Rangers stayed perfect on the season at 4-0.
Freshman
Sam Trodick led the way for Drew, capturing three individual events. She touched first in the 100-breaststroke (1:11.06), 200-breaststroke (2:34.09), and the 200-IM (2:19.53).
Classmate
Katerina Poulathas also won multiple events, prevailing in both the 200-freestyle (2:00.01) and the 100-butterfly (1:01.18).
Other individual winners included freshman
Harper Sensiba in the 1,000-freestyle (11:10.52), sophomore
Charlotte Wells in the 100-backstroke (1:03.51), senior
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds in the 50-freestyle (25.68), junior
Grace Aboussleman in the 100-freestyle (56.49), and junior
Katie Cashin in the 500-freestyle (5:28.00).
Drew finished 1-2-3 in two different events, including the 100-back, in which sophomore
Emma Boggs and junior
Alex Edwing tied for second (1:05.76). In the 200-breast, sophomore
Tori Newton (2:39.42) and freshman
Emilie Tobin (2:40.55) rounded out the sweep.
Additionally, the Rangers captured the 200-freestyle relay, as Aboussleman, Poulathas, Cashin, and Garcia Hynds clocked a 1:41.67.
Drew continues its season on Saturday, Nov. 13, when it travels to Susquehanna University for a dual meet starting at noon.
