Volleyball Winning Streak Snapped at Rutgers-Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. - The Drew University women's volleyball team saw its seven-match winning streak come to an end on Thursday following a 3-1 non-conference loss to host Rutgers-Camden.

The Raptors (8-4) won by scores of 25-20, 25-16, 14-25, 25-20, handing the Rangers (9-2) just their second loss in team history and their first since a 3-2 setback at Penn State Harrisburg back on Sept. 4.

Freshman Andrea Camacho-Tenreiro led Drew with 17 kills and nine digs while classmate Ashley Carkhuff contributed 10 digs. Freshman Jasmine Butler just missed a double-double with 21 assists and nine digs while first-year Kiara Vasquez posted 20 digs.

Drew returns home on Saturday, when it hosts Merchant Marine at 10 a.m. and Wilson College at noon in a pair of non-conference outings.
