MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University women's soccer team held Juniata to just four shots and played the Eagles to a scoreless draw in its Landmark Conference opener on Saturday at Ranger Stadium.
The Rangers (5-2-1, 0-0-1) outshot Juniata 13-4, but were unable to dent Eagle keeper Cati Betsch, who finished with five saves.
Drew's stifling defense limited the Eagles to just one shot on goal, which was saved by junior
Anthi Panayides midway through the second half. It was the second career shutout and the second clean sheet in four matches for Panayides.
The Rangers outshot Juniata 12-3 in regulation, and each side managed just one shot over the two overtime periods.
