WAYNESBORO, Pa. – Freshman
Matt Ingram shot a 2-over-par 74 to lead the Drew University men's golf team on the opening day of the Mason-Dixon Invitational, held at the Waynesboro Country Club, on Saturday.
As a team, the Rangers shot a 310 and are tied for ninth place among 21 schools at the event, which is being co-hosted by Gettysburg College and McDaniel College. Gettysburg leads the team standings with a 295.
Ingram is currently five strokes behind leader Ryan McGarry of McDaniel and is tied for ninth in a field of 104.
Freshman
Elliot Parker carded Drew's second-best score of the day and is tied for 18th with a 75. Sophomore
Mike Ford shot an 80 and is tied for 59th while senior
Lucas Artigliere and freshman
Bryce Garnier each posted an 81, tying them for 63rd.
The final round will start on Sunday at 10 a.m.
