SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Freshman Elliot Parker shot a 4-over-par 74 to lead the Drew University men's golf team in the opening round of the Landmark Conference Fall Preview on Friday at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
 
The Rangers shot a 317 and are tied with Catholic University for fourth place among eight teams in the standings. Scranton leads the way with a 308 with Moravian (310) and Goucher (312) close behind. Drew leads Susquehanna (337), Elizabethtown (338), and Juniata (354).
 
Parker, who notched a pair of birdies and parred 10 other holes, is currently in fourth place in the field of 40. Moravian's Jake Haberstumpf is the individual leader with a 72 while Goucher's Khai Buttner and Scranton's Liam Burtis are tied for second with a 73.
 
Sophomore Mike Ford was Drew's second finisher, carding a 79 to place him in a tie for 13th. Freshman Shiv Bhaskar shot an 81 and is tied for 15th while senior Lucas Artigliere and junior Matvey Pangan each posted an 83 and are tied for 21st.
 
The second and final round begins on Saturday at 10 a.m.
