MONTCLAIR, N.J. – The Drew University men's swimming & diving team won eight of 16 events, but the Red Hawks topped the Rangers 148-132 in a dual meet on Saturday.
For the second meet in a row to start the season, sophomore
Hayden Koh won three events. He touched first in the 100-backstroke (51.98), the 100-butterfly (49.55), and the 200-butterfly (1:53.95), winning by five seconds in the latter. His times in the 100- and 200-fly currently rank second and ninth, respectively, in Division III.
Junior
Jonathan Benowitz captured both the 1-meter (67.10) and 3-meter (111.60) diving events while classmate
Finn Armitt added a victory in the 200-freestyle (1:48.35).
In addition, the Rangers swept both relays. In the 200-medley, Koh, senior
Harrison Neal, Armitt, and senior
Josh Roberts teamed up for a winning time of 1:37.08 while Armitt, freshman
Brendan Burkett, junior
Marco Niro, and Roberts prevailed in the 400-freestyle relay (3:18.51).
Burkett also placed second in both the 50-freestyle (22.34) and 100-freestyle (49.74). Also capturing runner-up honors were Armitt in the 100-butterfly (51.92), Neal in the 200-IM (2;05.40), sophomore
