MADISON, N.J. – Senior forward
Michael Kane posted a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds and the Drew University men's basketball team used some torrid outside shooting to knock off York (N.Y.) College 94-66 a non-conference tilt Saturday afternoon in Baldwin Gym.

Drew (7-4) shot 18-for-38 (47.4%) from beyond the arc, tying the fourth-highest total in team history for 3-pointers in a game. Nine different Rangers connected from downtown.

All 12 players who dressed entered the game for Drew and all but one found the scoring column.
 Kane, who was a perfect 4-for-4 from 3-point range, posted his third career double-double and first of the season. Junior guard
James Anderson added 14 points while shooting 4-for-9 from 3-point range while freshman forward
Kevin Cronin connected on a trio of 3-pointers to finish with 10 points.

Other big performers for the Rangers included freshman forward
David Musial, who notched six points, 10 rebounds, six assists, four steals, and two blocks; senior guard
Kyle Cassidy, who scored a career-high nine points; and sophomore guard
Papie Roberts, who also netted nine points.

Micaiah Goosby paced York (2-10) with 21 points and five rebounds off the bench while Terrell Fullerton and Olawale Kila contributed 17 and 16 points, respectively.

The Rangers trailed just once on the night, when York scored the first basket of the game to make it 2-0. But that's when Anderson connected on back-to-back triples to give the hosts a lead they would not relinquish.

Drew pushed its advantage into double figures midway through the second half following a 10-2 run that included 3s from junior guard
Andrew Turco and Cronin. A 7-0 spurt later in the half, capped by five straight points from Kane, extended the Rangers lead to 16 (37-21) with 6:36 on the clock.

York clawed back to within 10 (42-32) with 2:14 remaining in the period, but the Rangers answered with a big 10-0 run to close out the half. Anderson nailed a 3-ball before and Kane scored the last seven points of the stanza, starting with a 3-pointers of his own.

Kane finished the opening half with 19 points as the Rangers carried a 52-32 lead into the locker room.

York was unable to get closer than 18 in the second half. The Cardinals scored the first basket of the period, but a 6-0 Drew run made it a 26-point game (64-38) with 14:49 left.

The visitors pulled to within 19 (76-57) with 7:30 remaining, but an 11-2 Drew run sealed the deal. Sophomore guard
Basim Horshaw started the spurt with back-to-back 3s before Kane capped it with his fourth and final trey of the night at the 4:26 mark. Drew would lead by as much as 32 inside the final three minutes.

The Rangers are now off for 13 days before returning to action on Friday, Dec. 30, when they visit Keystone College at 6 p.m. in a non-conference affair.
