MADISON, N.J. - The Drew University men's volleyball team rallied in the final set, but was unable to complete the comeback as Wilkes University swept the Rangers 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-22) Wednesday evening in Baldwin Gym.
Freshman
Jacob Sledz led Drew with 16 kills while sophomore
Omarf Ortega-Reyes notched six kills and eight digs. Freshman
Huriel Perez handed out 31 assists while classmate
Bryan Do contributed 10 digs
The Rangers led just twice in the first two sets before and were down by three early in the third stanza before coming back to take the lead. They were up by as much as three on three occasions, the last at 20-17, before the Colonels closed the match on an 8-2 run.
Drew plays its second match in as many nights on Thursday, when it takes on Middlesex County College starting at 7 p.m.
