READING, Pa. - The Drew University men's volleyball team ran into a pair of tough opponents on Saturday at Alvernia University and lost 3-0 in both matches.
The Rangers (8-14) opened the day with a 25-15, 25-11, 25-21 setback to Messiah University, which improved to 14-3 on the season. Drew then lost by scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-18 to Alvernia, which is now 10-8 on the year.

Jacob Sledz led Drew with five kills while junior
Furat Alhayek and freshman
Ephraim Smith each threw down four blocks, including one solo stuff apiece.
Sledz paced the Rangers again versus Alvernia, this time with nine kills and five digs. Freshman
Huriel Perez distributed 18 assists while classmate
Bryan Do scooped six digs.
Drew returns to action on Thursday, when it hosts Neumann University starting at 7 p.m.
