UNION, N.J. - The Drew University men's volleyball team lost by a final of 3-0 at Kean University in its final road match of the season on Saturday.
The Cougars (16-10) won by scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-16.
Freshman
Jacob Sledz paced the Rangers with 12 kills and seven digs. He committed just three errors on 32 attempts. Classmate
Ephraim Smith added nine kills and a pair of blocks for Drew while first-year
Huriel Perez posted 32 assists and seven digs. Freshman libero
Bryan Do chipped in with 11 digs.
The Rangers led 21-20 late in the opening set before Kean closed on a 5-1 run. The hosts trailed just once the rest of the way, when Drew led 1-0 in the third set.
Drew closes out its inaugural season next Saturday, when it hosts Elizabethtown College at 11 a.m.
