MENDHAM, N.J. – The Drew University men's golf "B" team placed second among 15 schools at the FDU-Florham Fall Invitational on Monday at Mendham Golf & Tennis Club.
The Rangers shot a 315, finishing behind only Stevens, which posted a 302.
Leading the way for Drew was sophomore
Mike Ford, who fired a 4-over-par 75 to place fourth among 75 competitors. He was followed by freshman
Max Conklin, who shot a 79 in his collegiate debut to tie for ninth. Junior
Matvey Pangan carded an 85, tying for 27th, while freshman
Shiv Bhaskar and junior
Myles Cherry tied for 32nd, with each posting an 86. Junior
Ryan Firman also competed as an individual and recorded a 99.
Gus Vickers of Stevens claimed medalist honors with a 70.
The Rangers are back in action Oct. 1-2 at the Mason-Dixon Invitational, held at Waynesboro Country Club in Waynesboro, Pa.
