MADISON, N.J. – The Drew University women's swimming & diving team celebrated their four seniors before the meet, then won every event en route to a 203-48 win over Goucher College on Senior Day Saturday at F.M. Kirby Pool.
Drew's four seniors –
Grace Aboussleman,
Katie Cashin,
Alex Edwing, and
Mackenzie Garcia Hynds – each participated in their final home meet as Rangers, as did the four seniors on the men's team.
Individually, Cashin, Edwing, and sophomore
Sam Trodick captured two events apiece. Cashin touched first in both the 100-breaststroke (1:12.72) and the 500-freestyle (5:33.83) while Edwing claimed the 100-bacsktroke (1:03.95) and the 100-butterfly (1:03.91). Trodick prevailed in both the 200-butterfly (2:26.12) and the 100-freestyle (57.50).
Aboussleman also came away with a victory, winning the 200-freestyle (2:01.41). Earning one victory each were sophomore
Katerina Poulathas in the 1,000-freestyle (11:02.13), junior
Amira Hadri in the 50-freestyle (25.32), junior
Charlotte Wells in the 200-backstroke (2:21.63), sophomore
Emilie Tobin in the 200-breaststroke (2:36.14), and freshman
Ece Onatca in the 200-IM (2:24.71).
In the relays, Hadri, Trodick, Cashin, and Aboussleman teamed up for a winning time of 1:54.54 in the 200-medley while Cashin, Aboussleman, Edwing, and Tobin captured the 400-freestyle in 3:52.46.
The Rangers conclude their dual-meet schedule next Saturday when they visit Landmark Conference opponent University of Scranton at 1 p.m.
